Car Stereos: Car Audio Cut out, mtx amp, rockford fosgate

I have a 99 Mazda 626 that we just bought and i hooked up two 15' rockford fosgate with a jvc deck with a mtx amp works good until you push the power lock door or just drive down the street then the amp will cut out but the amp stys on. Light stays on just the bass cuts out then cuts on. Everything seems to be hooked up right. thank you

Daniel, It sounds like the amp is drawing all of the power that your car is making, so when anything else is used or turned on, it doesn't have enough power to stay on.  REplacing the battery with a new one may do the trick.  Also, be sure and make your ground wires as short as possible.  This will help ensure your amp is getting good clean power.  If this still happens after the battery has been replaced, then you may need to look into a new alternator as well.  Hope this helps, Scott
