Car Stereos: my car is dead after installing an in-dash dvd, control chip, going out of my mind

Hi i installed an in-dash on my 05 Evo 8. My car is fine when i have my keys in, but when i take them out my car is just dead. Like my dome lights are completely shut, my powerdoor locks won't work...I'm just going out of my mind and can't figure out what is wrong...Please help me?

Paolo, Many cars are being powered by computers these days, and I suspect this is the problem with your car.  If you did not use a wiring adapter with a control chip installed in it, your car may not recognize the current wiring and wont let it function.  I would double check proper wiring adapter then check all wiring for correctness and secureness.  You may want to try an online forum featuring your car and see if someone there has run into the same troubles.  I am sure you will find someone who can give you more specific guidance than I can.
