Answer
Hi Kevin,

I don't have any experience at all with the Scosche GM2000 interface, but it sounds to me like that's where your problem is.  You can confirm this by temporarily disconnecting your head unit's red wire from the interface, and tapping it in with the yellow wire instead.  This should keep your head unit powered at all times, including while the engine is running.  If this is the case, then it pretty much confirms that the interface's accessory power output isn't working correctly.

One fix would be to bypass the module's accessory output altogether, and connect the red wire from the head unit directly to a key-switched power source; the windshield wiper fuse might work, or the thick brown wire from the key switch.  You'd lose the "retained accessory power" feature that the module is supposed to provide, but (assuming the other module functions are working correctly) you'd still keep your vehicle's warning chimes working, which is the main function of the module. Otherwise, the only option I can see is to try a different interface adapter.

Hope this helps!
