Car Stereos: no sound from new stereo, jeep grand cherokee, pioneer head unit

Installed new pioneer stereo in 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee have power and no sound what am you doing wrong with the wiring?  I have rechecked the wiring, pretty basic.  Only orange illumination and blue remote control wiring not connected.  Any ideas?

Hi Leslie,

The blue wire is the key:  it's the activation wire for the Grand Cherokee's factory amplifier.  The blue wire in the adapter harness must be connected to the blue/white wire from the Pioneer head unit.  This should solve the problem.
