Answer
Hi David,

I'm not certain if the audio system in the UK Grand Cherokee is much different from the North American version.  Most of the cartridge-style CD changers I've seen in these vehicles have been dealer-installed add-ons that use a separate control and display, and work through the radio tuner.  If yours is controlled and displayed through the factory head unit, then I'm not familiar with it.  However, you can check for a "reset" button on the changer.  It might look like a small, recessed button meant to be pressed with a pin or a pen tip.  Otherwise, you can try disconnecting removing the cartridge from the changer and disconnecting your battery for a few minutes.  (Of course, you'll have to enter the anti-theft code at the head unit again).  Resetting the system with the discs removed might get it working again.

Hope this helps!
