Car Stereos: Pioneer KEH-P7250 HU Connection, pioneer keh, external amplifier
13 pin Connector
QUESTION: Hello, I wish to install my Pioneer KEH-P7250 Cassate/Radio  car audio. I want to do it my self [DIY] and have no idea on how to set up this, I give you what I have and please let me know how to connect this. All I have is the Pioneer HU and its White 13 pin Connector. All I need is what wire goes to what and Pls tell me in detail.

ANSWER: Hi Pradeep,

Go to your nearest car stereo shop and buy a harness for your car.  Just tell them your year/make/model and they'll give you what you need.

Then, just connect the same coloured wires (I'd suggest soldering, but butt connectors should work OK too), and plug everything in.

QUESTION:
Hi Justin, Thanks for the reply. Every thing works good and now I had a question regarding the speakers. Pioneer Stereo has a MAX Power of 35w x 4, and an impedance of 4-8 Ohm, I don't use an external amplifier and I just connect the speakers directly to the Pioneer Stereo.

I am using Left speaker of 40W with 4 Ohms and the right Speaker of 35W with 8'Ohm. What will happened if we use the two separate speakers of different Watts and of Different Ohms, Though my amplifier Impedance range from 4-8'Ohms. I am planning to use the same until I get the pair of speakers of same Impedance and Watts.

Answer
Hi Pradeep,

While it should work OK in the current configuration, it is unlikely to sound right at all.  I'd strongly suggest replacing the speakers at your earliest convenience.

Wattage doesn't really matter, especially since the deck is putting out 35 watts MAX, and its RMS is probably more reasonably in the range of 15.
