Hi Brian,
I am wondering if I can hook up 10's to a 1000 Watt amp and if there would be any adverse effects. I am selling my 10's and my cousin has his own amp. I run a 600 but he has a 1000 watt amp.. So I was curious if its cool to run them?

To answer this question, I'd need to know the make and model of the amplifier and the subs.  The power rating for various 10" subwoofers can vary wildly, and not every amplifier with "1000 watts" stamped on the case really produces 1000 watts of power.  It's not possible to answer your question without more information.

If you'd like to post a follow-up question with more details, I'll try to give you a better answer.
