Car Stereos: DVD Player in a Chev Trailblazer, chev trailblazer, fuse

Justin, I have Two problems...  DVD won't play, DVD won't eject

When I put a dvd in the built in DVD player (factory installed in the ceiling), it doesn't play. The screen says eject but the dvd won't come out when the eject button is pushed.

Any ideas?

Hi Al,

This sort of thing happens with DVD and CD drives all the time.  Unfortunately, it often means replacement.

Before doing that though, try pulling the fuse that runs the unit for 5 minutes or so and then put it back.  This might give the unit the reset it needs to behave itself again.

If it doesn't, you're likely looking at repair/replacement as something may have jammed/broken in the unit.
