Car Stereos: powerless, phoniex gold, two subs

Question
how come pioneer deck deh p7700 + phoniex gold amp cant kick 2 15 eclise

Answer
Hi,

Without knowing the model numbers of the amp and subs, I can't really say whether they're well matched; but there are other things that can affect the subwoofer output.  A very common problem is a wiring polarity error; ie, when you have two subs, you need to be sure they're wired in phase or your bass output will suffer enormously.  The way to test is to disconnect one of the two subs; if you get more bass with a single sub than with both, then re-connect the sub, but reverse the (+) and (-) wire connections.

It's also important to use a box with the right amount of air space.  Make sure your box design matches the manufacturers' recommendation for your subs.

Hope this helps!
