Car Stereos: Cd player not taking the disc, alpine head unit, security code

My Car has a alpine head unit, a CD got jammed inside so we took it out, removed the top cover and got the cd out. When we put it back in, it now wont let me insert a cd, i place it as far in as it will go, normally it would grab it and pull in the entire cd, however, now it wont. It doesn't seem to recognize it is there.

Hi Annabelle,

Make sure you have your deck's security code if there is one.

Then, remove the radio fuse, and wait a few minutes.

Put it back and see if it returns to normal operation.

If it doesn't, your deck is likely in need of repair/replace.
