Car Stereos: Power loss to stereo, pioneer deh, t power

Question
Hello.  I've been having problems with my aftermarket Pioneer 2100b stereo.  What has been happening is that on start-up, the stereo will not power up.  No lights appear, and it doesn't work.  It only seems to happen when I leave the face plate on the stereo, and after it occurs, the stereo won't power on until the deck is removed, disconnected from the car, and re-connected.

I've had the wiring checked by the dealership, and I've had the deck sent off for repair from Pioneer.  Both deny that there is a problem on their end, pointing instead at the other.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  The store where I have the work done on the car (Future Shop) has stated that they have had other complaints with the same model of deck.

Car: Acura 2002 RSX Premium
Deck: Pioneer DEH-2100b

Answer
Mark, I would have to guess the problem is with the stereo.  The best way to test this is to just wire up another radio and see if it happens ever again.  I am guessing it will not happen any more.  If it does happen again, then the problem may lie in the car.  Most probable would be a wrong model of wiring adapter.  But first, I would definitely try another stereo.  Hope this helps, Scott
