How do I remove a broken radio/CD player from the Hyundai Accent 2000 ?

Hi Tom,

Removing the factory CD player in the Accent is a bit tricky, because you need to remove the front dash plate first, including the climate control module.  The trouble is that there are a few control cables running from the climate controls, and they can't be disconnected at the source; you have to find the other end of each cable and detach it there.  

Any standard single-DIN CD player will fit your car, if you buy the right adapter parts.  You need a Metra 99-7310 mounting kit, and a 70-7301 wire harness.  Nearly all after-market CD players are the single-DIN standard; it just refers to the size of the deck: 2" tall and 7" wide.
