Answer
Hi Mace,

Because your Suburban is equipped with Onstar, it has a separate 6-channel amplifier that runs all the speakers.  Most Suburbans have factory amps, but usually they just run the rear door speakers; with Onstar, though, the amplifier is used to run all the speakers.

In order to get the sound to work with the after-market head unit, you'll need to activate the factory amplifier.  To do this, you need to connect the head unit's remote wire to the factory amp's activation wire.  Your head unit's remote wire should be blue/white, but if a blue/white wire is not present, look for a blue wire instead.  The factory amp activation wire is in the smaller factory radio plug, and should be pink.  Connect the pink wire in the factory plug to the remote wire from the Lanzar deck, and this should activate the amplifier and get your sound working.

Hope this helps!
