Car Stereos: nextar nc990c, release button, fuse

Question
I have a cd in the machine and it will not eject????
when you turn the unit on it reads the disc and shows error 2 . I have looked for a release button to eject the disc but with no success.

Hi Bruce,

This would suggest that the unit is jammed.

Unplug/remove the fuse from it for 30 seconds, and then put it back.  See if that fixes it.

If it doesn't, your only option might to be to disassemble, remove the CD manually, and see if you can unjam it.

To test, use a CD you don't care about, so if it eats it again, you can just dispose of the player with the junk CD inside of it without having to pull it open again.
