Car Stereos: Volume button, alpine cda9883, volume button

I´ve got an Alpine CDa9883 head unit installed on my car, the problem is that the volume button doesn´t work anymore, I have to use the remote control to increase the sound. Is that a block system problem or what could it be??????  Do I have to start to think in a new head unit for my car???

Hi Henry,

Believe it or not, the volume controls are pretty common to have break.

If you can handle using the remote, you'll probably be able to use the deck for its normal lifespan, and it'll be just fine.

Repairing is possible, but would be likely to cost as much as replacing the unit, unfortunately.
