Car Stereos: 2002 Chevrolet Silverado No Sound, stock speakers, chevrolet silverado

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with factory radio.  I recently installed new speakers (two days ago).  When I first installed, everything worked good.  While I was driving, everything went silent.  The radio still has power and you can change the radio station, play cds, etc, but no sound...

I checked two fuses labeled radio (one inside driver door panel and one under the hood)  Are there any other fuses?  What else should I look for?

Matt,  You have one of two problems.  Unfortunately, the fix is not going to be easy.  Either you bought speakers with lower ohms resistance than your stock speakers, or you have a short in one of your speaker wires.  Either way, you have burnt a circuit inside the radio, and it will have to be removed and repaired professionally.  Hope this helps, Scott
