Car Stereos: Adding a CD changer to factory stereo, sony cdx, pontiac grand prix

Question
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT that has a cassette player and I wanted to add a 10 disc CD changer, a Sony CDX-52, without removing the actual radio. Is this possible? If so, what is needed?

Answer
Brandon, you must remove the original stereo to hook up the new changer.  Once it is hooked up, you can use your original stereo.  You would just tune to a certain station, then use the changers remote to listen to your cds.  They work just fine, but the quality is just slightly better than the radio, because it is playing through the radio receiver.  If you upgraded your stereo to a nice aftermarket model, the sound quality would be way higher.  Hope this helps, Scott
