Car Stereos: Aftermarket Radio Installation On A 2002 Monte Carlo Ls, alpine stereos, monte carlo ls

Question
QUESTION: Am I able to install an aftermarket radio in my car and still be able to reset the codes for oil life and tire pressure etc., and if so are there a few you would recommend over others?

ANSWER: Kyle,  There is no aftermarket radio with the additional informational displays that GM has on some of their OEM models.  The only thing that I would recommend, is to upgrade to the nicest OEM stereo.  Hope this helps, Scott

QUESTION: So is there a way to bypass the oem warnings then if I were to install an aftermarket stereo?

Answer
Yes, you can install an aftermarket radio, that does not have the extras of the factory unit.  There is a wiring adapter that will show which wires to wire to and a faceplate adapter fitting your car.  I recommend Alpine stereos for top of the line sound.  Even the cheapest Alpine sound great.  Good Luck!!
