Car Stereos: Subwoofer and Battery power, kenwood amp, bass tube

Question
Hello.. i was installed a JBL 1000watts Bass Tube on my car with 2 Channel Kenwood Amp. The car is with 800cc and 12v battery is well. At the time when am installed my Subwoofer i got an old battery of Panasonic. It got damaged and my friends and peoples from workshop is telling me that its because of my subwoofer. Is this subwoofer is not good for my car? is there any problem having my battery? now am detached my subwoofer and am using a new battery now.  Is that possible to use my subwoofer back again in my car. or itz not? at the time when i was using my subwoofer, A/C, Headlight the battery power going down like showing lower power (Engine On Time). Please help me.

Answer
Prabhakar,  Your subwoofer is using too much power.  Many large subs do use alot of power.  To prevent damage to the battery, you should install high current alternator (160 amps or higher) and only use sub with engine running.  This will keep battery from being damaged.  Hope this helps, Scott
