Car Stereos: How do I, double din head unit, buick century

I have a 2000 buick century and i want to install my flip up dvd player but it do not clear the dash how do i get it to clear the dash of the car if you can help me that would be great Thanks.

Hi Daniel,

I assume that your screen is extending out of the head unit, but can't open fully because of the dash overhang.  Is this correct?  

If so, about your only option is to modify the mounting kit so that you can have the head unit extended further out the front of the dash.  You might be able to install a spacer around the mounting sleeve before securing it into the kit; or use the kit's ISO-mount side brackets to hold the deck.  Unfortunately, even if you can push the deck far enough out and still keep it secure in the dash, there's no easy way to make it look good.

The best in-dash option for this car would be a fixed-face, double-DIN head unit like Pioneer's AVH-P4100DVD.
