Car Stereos: Satelite Radio, mobile electronics products, factory radios

Question
How do I add my Sirius radio subscription to my second car. It is a 2004 Ford EB Exped. with a satelite button on the factory radio. Can I not just find the EN number or does it not come with the equipment from the factory to do this. If not what do I need to add to the factory radio to enable the SAT button with my current radio subscription

Answer
Hi John,

In order to get satellite radio working in your vehicle, you'd need to add a Sirius tuner and antenna package.  Your existing radio is Sirius-ready, which means that it has the capability of adding a tuner, but the tuner isn't built-in.

A company named Visteon makes a package designed for use with Sirius-ready Ford factory radios.  You can get more information and find a local distributor through this link:

Another option would be to replace your factory radio with an after-market head unit and satellite radio tuner.  It's possible that this would be the less expensive option in your truck, as well as giving you other features you may want (like iPod or Bluetooth functions).

Hope this helps!
