Car Stereos: car amps, car amps, ground wires

Question
i want to install 3 amps in my car how do i do this .can i just run one power supply and link accross the amps

Answer
Peter, Yes, normally I run a large wire to where the amps are going to be installed.  I connect large eye-connectors to the large wire and each amp wire.  Then, I use a bolt to lock them all together.  Some people use manifold type blocks to connect the main power wire to one side, then the amp leads to the other side.  The ground wires should be connected to the chassis as near to the amp as possible, but you can also connect them all together as well to make one wire connecting to the chassis.  One wire should be brought back to switch each amp on.  It does not need to be very large, and you can just twist them all together and use a wirenut to connect them.  Hope this helps, Scott
