Car Stereos: radio install, ford f 150, factory wiring harness

I'm trying to connect my factory 2003 trailblazer to a 1998 ford F-150. I bought the factory wiring harness for the factory radio trailblazer and connected it to the harness in the '98 F-150. and the radio won't turn on. there is power in the wires going to the radio but radio won't turn on!! Am I doing something wrong? Can somebody please tell me how to do it.

Unfortunately, wiring from one factory deck to another can be a bit of a task since you're forced to figure out which wire goes where.

Your best bet is to get your hands on an aftermarket harness for your truck, and use it as an intermediary harness to splice with so you can figure out the wiring that way.  You'll also need to get the colour scheme for the factory trailblazer harness as well if the harness you got isn't labelled.

Presumably, the issue is simply the order of which wire is going where.
