Car Stereos: Installation of stereo, 1993 cadillac seville, sony cd player

I purchased an aftermarket Sony cd player for my 1993 Cadillac Seville(STS).  I also purchased the harness required for my model.  Is there a special connector for my antenna? The harness does not match anything, and I do not want to have to cut it and start from scratch.  Is there anything more that I should purchase to have this put in?

Hi Crystal,

You're going to need the antenna adapter, a dash kit, and the wiring harness.

The dash kit is the plastic that you replace your factory stereo surround with to make a standard size deck fit in it.

The wire harness you have.

And the antenna adapter will switch the antenna input into the standard used in factory decks.

The price for all 3 of those items shouldn't exceed $50.  In most cases you can get the antenna adapter for $8-15, the dash kit for $15-20, and the wiring harness for $10-20.
