I have a alpine CDA 9825 that will not come out of the cd mode.the cd works but can not get the FM to come on an can not switch from cd to fm radio not find a manual for it on the web Thank You for all your help

The first thing I'd try is resetting the unit.  This can be done by removing the detacheable face, and looking for a small, recessed "reset" button on the front panel.  Press the button with a paper clip or ballpoint pen.  (I'd remove the CD first).  This will often fix problems like you're experiencing.

If that doesn't work, you can try cleaning the contacts on the detacheable face and on the front panel of the head unit.  You can do this with a cotton swab and some contact cleaner or alcohol.

If it still isn't working, then it's likely that you have a defect inside the faceplate.
