Car Stereos: 2000 Malibu, antenna wire, aftermarket radio

i have a 2000 Malibu & my cd player quit wqorking , i have a friend that has a changer she will sell me, will it be compatible w/my malibu or what else will i have to buy to make it work?

You will need a changer controller.  If hers is a "stand-alone" cd changer, It will have it's own controller and be wired up through the antenna wire.  If hers is not a "stand-alone" changer, you will need another radio that has the controls made for that changer.  Usually the same brand, and higher end of the product line.  Otherwise, if it just the changer, and you have just an OEM radio now, you would be better off to just go buy an aftermarket radio with it's own cd player.  Hope this helps, Scott
