Car Stereos: guages stopped working, fuse panels, stereo issue

i have a 1998 rav4. i hit a pothole and my gauges stopped working (tachometer, speedometer,fuel gauge,temp gauge & odometer.whats wrong, and how do i get them to work again

Hi John,

Unfortunately, this isn't a car stereo issue.  That said, I can try and help.

What's happened is one of three things.

Most likely, a connection has come loose.  You'll have to remove the gauge and check the connections to it.

Second most likely is something touched something else that shouldn't have and a fuse has popped.  Check all of the fuses in both fuse panels and make sure there are no dead ones.

Least likely, but possible is that something broke and you need a whole new cluster.  If that's the case, visit a wrecker (because the dealership will RIP YOU OFF.)
