Car Stereos: I bought a used 2003 GMC Envoy and my Bose Cd Player is say system error, factory radios, gmc envoy

I bought a use 2003 GMC Envoy and I have the 6 disc cd player in it by bose...
But when i try to feed a cd into it it does not take it also when i say eject cd it
say system error... Do you know the problem with this. ?

Hi,

Unfortunately, many in-dash multi-disk CD players seem to be prone to mechanical problems.  I'm not a repair technician, so I can't give you much information on exactly what might be wrong; but my guess is that the unit needs to be serviced.  However, you can try "resetting" the changer by disconnecting the vehicle's negative battery terminal for a minute.  It's not likely that this will fix the problem, but it's possible, and it costs nothing to try.

GM dealers usually aren't very helpful for internal radio repairs, although one could sell you a replacement.  Otherwise, you can call around to various after-market electronics repair shops.  If a local shop doesn't work on factory radios, they might be able to direct you to one that does.  If all else fails, here's a shop that can repair your radio if you ship it to them:  http://www.videoservicestop.com/
