Car Stereos: Link head unit to portable gps?, gps unit, pioneer premier

Hey I am in desperate need of help ha ha I have the Pioneer Premier DEH-P6000UB deck and just bought the AVIC-F500BT portable GPS unit. I have run the ipod cable to my center compartment/armrest storage and was hoping that there is some way to connect my gps to my deck so that my head unit will still be the controller to my ipod but also show the album art and be navigable by voice from the gps... I really appreciate your expertise and knowledge. Thanks, Danny

Danny,  It doesn't look like that is going to be possible.  You are really stuck with one or the other.  The good news is, I think you can use either one at any time.  The bad news is that they are not integrated together.  The GPS unit is built to add-on to a stock stereo system, so they did not bother to integrate with their own headunits.  Sorry I didn't have any better news for you.  Hope this helps, Scott
