Car Stereos: car stereo, battery change, dash cd

i installed a boss in dash cd player it works great but will not play cds or eject the one thats in it?

From what I understand about some of these new systems, the players lock-up until a code of some sort is entered into the system by a factory dealer.  It seems to be a fairly common problem nowadays.  Many people have told me the same problem with their own player that worked prior to a battery change then didn't afterwards.  It all points back to the security features of the players.  Hope this helps, Scott
