Car Stereos: Rear speakers in the passenger and back door dose not work, rear speakers, pink wire

i have a 99 Tahoe and i was put in a aftermarket deck and now rear speakers in the passenger and back door dose not work and i use a hornets so the wires are right for the speakers but it dose not come on and the sreakers work because when the factory deck was in they work just fine. so can you help me out. Thanks

Hi Danny,

The Tahoe is often equipped with a factory amplifier for the rear speakers.  When you install a new head unit, you have to be sure to activate the factory amp turn-on wire.  

Make sure the blue wire in your adapter harness is connected to the blue/white wire from your new CD player.  (If the CD player doesn't have a blue/white wire, connect the blue wire).  If you're still not getting rear speaker sound, look for a separate plug that may have been connected to the factory radio, and that doesn't fit your adapter harness.  If the second plug is present, try connecting the pink wire in the separate plug to the blue/white wire from your CD player.
