Car Stereos: grand cherokee cd player, jeep grand cherokee, grand cherokee

I have a 2003 jeep grand cherokee, one day the cd player wouldnt give back a cd. I dont no how i did it but finally got the cd back......now the cd player doesnt work at all, it just says "error" on the face....wont take a cd at all.......help! it is a combo cassette/cd player....radio works fine

Hi Paul,

Something in the deck probably jammed itself.  Make sure you have the security code if there is one, and disconnect the negative terminal from your car battery for 20 minutes and reconnect it.  That should reset it and make it forget any presets and information it might have about its current state.

Then try using it again.  If it continues to fail, you're probably looking at repair/replace.
