Car Stereos: ampp for stock speakers, stock speakers, factory speakers

Hi I wanted to know wanted to ask a question  
I purchesd a subwolfer to 12s  
With a 1200 watt ampp and I have a ml 350
mercdes truck and my freind was saying that
the bass would probbly over power the
speakers so he said I should buy a extra ampp
for my stock speakers mabby like 300 watt
ampp  it I'm scared that it might blow the
speakers I mean I do have desent speakers
there harmon karmon please if you can answer
this one apresheate it thanks

Hi David,

As long as you tune the amp correctly to work with the available volume of the factory speakers, you'll be fine.  A 1200w subwoofer can overpower even the best aftermarket installation if you turn it up too high; just make sure you set all of the levels correctly so they sound in tune with one another.
