Car Stereos: mono amp, ohm load, mono amp

Question
I just purchased a Hifonics Txi1008d amp, which is 1 ohm stable (1000w rms) I Have a 15" Kicker Cvx speaker which is wired in 1 ohm, i was wondering how to wire the amp so it will be in a 1 ohm load. I think i have everything hooked up correctly but, im not sure about how the rca's go
Thanks

Answer
Hi Travis,

I'm a bit confused by your question -- the RCAs have no bearing on the load on the amp.  The amp's load is dependent entirely upon the hookup of the speaker that's connected to it -- if you're running a 1ohm load from the sub, then the amp is already running at 1ohm.

The RCAs should plug right from your deck into the amplifier.
