Car Stereos: Installing factory CD player in a 2000 Dodge Ram, dodge 2500, factory cd

I've got a factory cassette player in my '00 Dodge 2500, just bought the
factory CD player off of eBay.  Switching the two out was easy, but now that
the cd player is in I can't get it working - the time lights up and it has power,
but none of the buttons do anything.  The pictures off of ebay show it
working, so for the time being I'm assuming it's a working unit.  Is there a
theft code or anything like that I should have to get the unit working?

Hi Chris,

The deck should respond to *something* -- even if it's locked.  Does the power turn it off/on?  You might've received a bad deck.  Give Dodge a call and ask them; they should be able to at least tell you over the phone what your next step is before you have to give them any money.
