Car Stereos: CD changer stuck in 06 Pontiac G6 GTP, pontiac g6, exact instructions

I can not get my 6-CD changer to eject any of the discs in my G6.  It sounds like it struggles for a bit and then reads CD Change Error.  What do I need to do?  Should I open it up, and if so, how?

Hi,

It means the mechanism that's responsible for inserting and removing and changing discs has failed.  Either something has jammed up, or it's busted.  You'll need to remove the changer from the car, and disassemble it.  Exact instructions on disassembling your changer is not something I know off-hand, but you should be able to reasonably figure it out.

Pull the changer apart and remove your discs.  Then test it again with some discs you don't care about.  If it's all better, great.  If it jams up again, you might need to get it warrantied/replaced.
