Car Stereos: chrysler voyager 2002 after market stereo not working, factory amps, chrysler voyager

Question
QUESTION: Hi all.
I have a voyager with a pre amp. I cannot get sound.
I have the harness. All wires are connected. Including the blue remote on the iso block.
There are 2 connections left which would have pluged into the chrysler origanl stereo which are nothing to do with the iso connection. One is to chassis or earth reading amp. Connected this to earth.
The other is a little red plug that went into the right hand side (looking from rear that says remote)
It controls the remote on the steering (on orignal stereo) and fires up the car amp.
I have proved this as if i turn the ignition on with the original stereo in. turn on there is sound. Unplug and connect after market stereo.(leaving ingnition on) there is sound. Turn ignition off. and turn back on nothing.
The original stereo seems to be sending a signal rather that volts to the amp to turn it on? any way of getting around this.???
It has baffled all the audio experts in my area.

Thanks

Jullian

ANSWER: Hi Jullian.

It might be that the remote output on the radio its not strong enough to power those factory amps up try switching the blue wire on the aftermarket harness to the red (switched power) on the radio.

QUESTION: Hi thanks for the reply.
Have tried seperate power source to blue.
It is something to do with this control remote wire.
Factory amps seem to be getting a signal to turn on as well needing a power supply.
As said once the remote signal has been sent as long as you do not turn the ignition off you can connect the aftermarket and it works fine.
Turn ignition off and turn back on no sound without reinstalling factory stereo and letting that signal the amps.

Answer
Im sorry i wasnt thinking i meant to say blue/white wire thats the turn on lead for the factory amps and there is another blue solid wire wich is the antenna power you dont have to connect this wire if you dont have a power antenna, thats probably why you are not powering those amps.

What wire harness brand are you using. i tried to look up your car on scoche and there is no records of a chrysler or jeep voyager on it, are you outside the us or is it imported from some other country?.

Nevermind ive found it its made by plymouth but ran into another problem they stop making those cars on 01. but it takes a CR01 scoche part # and there should be a blue/white wire coming out of the iso harness hook that one up to the blue/white on your radio and that should do it. if not try connecting that blue/white from the iso harness to switched 12V wich would be the red wire on your radio's harness.
