Question
Is it ok to drive uphill with a cold engine?  Will engine be damaged?

Answer
No it's not.  Allow the engine to run for at least 3 minutes at idle before driving - - -this allows oil to circulate completely through the engine and coat all surfaces . Always warm up an engine before driving at all.
