Auto Racing: throttle body spacer, throttle body spacer, throttle body spacers

Mr. Dains,
I'm throwing this out becvause I'm not sure who to ask.  I'm doing inexpensive performance mods to my '95 ford explorer.  I'm ordering a hypertech chip- have you heard if the throttle body spacer kit is worth-while; it is inexpensive for the performance claims.

I have honestly never used one of the throttle body spacers. I have heard different versions of their effectiveness. I am sure it varies by car in regards to your actual gains. I would do something like an air intake or highflow catalytic converter before I did a throttle body spacer. Once I got the more primary modifications out of the way I would look at it.
