Hi My question is do you have any websites are books to recommend to me about swapping out setups. i have a 2002v6mustang and i am currently in the process of developing a plan for a setup i wish to put into this car. i was thinking about the 281ci cobra motor with a T56 and ford 9in rear. But also was told that the cobra motor runs into maintaince problems when pushing high power and informed about the old school 302's and that it would be a better option with less maintance work but that it would require massive rewireing and maping for ecu/wiring harness fabrication. what tips and advice would u be able to give me?

I would definitely stick with the modular motor family (the 4.6L motors...Cobra or not).  Swapping in an old school 302 motor can turn into an absolute nightmare quicker than you can say "what the hell have I gotten myself into?".  The Cobra motors are really pretty reliable within reason.  I know of a few guys running the '03-'04 Cobra motors with as much as 800-1000hp without any real problems.  Then again, those came factory blown so their internals are beefed up.  If you're really worried about these problems, maybe you should go with the regular GT motor (SOHC instead of DOHC).  They're a bit more predictable, but won't make quite as much power.  The T56 is a great addition, but forget about the 9" rear unless you're planning on 500-600 daily driven hp.  9" rears are nearly bulletproof, but they're big and heavy so they suck up a lot of power.  If you can get away with a well built 8.8" rear, do it.  Hope this helps.

Most books on swaps are pretty vague.  They don't go into any real specifics and when you're doing an engine swap, it's ALL about specifics.  Unless you could find a book titled "How To Swap A 4.6L Motor Into A 2002 V6 Mustang", it's not going to help much.  As far as websites go, the best way to go about it would be to go to a site with forums like www.corral.net or www.mustangworld.com.  Mind you...I know the Corral is still around...not sure about Mustangworld or Stangnet or the others.  Boards like that generally have some people with really good info.  A lot of the people have done it before and can tell you what to watch out for.  Hope this helps.
