Auto Racing: Air intake, performance air intakes, weapon r secret weapon intake

Question
Hello,
I have a question regarding performance air intakes. I have an 03 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally Edition, and I'm torn between two intakes, both of which I've heard great things about: Injen Short Ram intake, and Weapon R Secret Weapon intake. Injen users claim it adds more hp than most SRIs. Weapon R users claim the same, and this particular intake utilizes two laws of physics to increase air flow and reduce turbulance...If you've already researched it you know, if not, could you tell me which one would be the most appropriate?

Answer
Hi Mark:

Before making a decision, I suggest you take a look at the K&N FIPK,  Fuel Injection Performance Kit.

K&N have been around for a long time, and have a great reputation for honesty and high quality.

You mentioned reducing turbulence when actually increased turbulence is what you want.  Increased turbulence aids in the atomization of your fuel mixture, which creates more power. Colder air, and more air are the other two goals.

Base your final decision on which one claims the highest volumn of air.

Good luck
