Auto Racing: Insane Horse Power, chevy cavalier, knowledge ends

I got a '04 Chevy Cavalier. I know they aren't kings in the performance world. I was wondering if it is possible to get somewhere in the 400HP range and how(new engine, modifications, pushing street legal)? My knowledge ends at replacing fluids and headlights.

Hi. 400 hp is possible but..... to get this much turbo charging would be the only feasible way ,the engine would have to be built around this . now 1. would it still be emissions legal?.2 .would the drivetrain completely destroy itself ? it was designed for half as much hp.3.How's the budget? this may cost as much as $10,000.
