Auto Racing: Dodge 4.7 engine, force air induction, model fuel

Question
In your opinion, what could I do to a 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup with a 4.7 V8 engine to give it more horsepower...without going into the engine internally.

I have put an Air Force air induction on it. The truck runs great and will out run a 5.9 RT in the quarter of mile.  My truck shifts out at a higher RPM than the RT

What do you think about re-tuning with one of the computer modules?

Thanks

Jerry

Answer
Hi Jerry ,i'm just getting back from a short holiday ,the power tuners i've had expierience with ,do work ,the power is noticeable but the truck won't become a pro stocker . a good website i use for late model fuel injected vehicle modification is http://www.rpmoutlet.com/frame.htm,.the intake modification should be complemented with a some exhaust modification ,an engine is an air pump ,put more air in ,get more air out ,most horsepower modifications are based on this premise .Thank You and Good Luck  with that quick hauler!J Mazio.
