Auto Racing: chevy 305, coolant temp, chevy 305

Question
I have a 305 in a monte carlo that was just installed and for some reason the right bank cylinders are running very hot. The left bank are fine but if you try to drive it the manifold on right will glow. I checked the plugs and the right sides were black and lefts were clean. I know timing is correct. Any ideas on why just the right bank would do this? Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

Answer
HI JEFF.hAVING SEEN THIS BEFORE ,I TRACKED RATHER LARGE VACCUUM LEAK UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WHEN THE INTAKE GASKET SHIFTED. DO THE PLUGS ON THAT BANK LOOK SHINY BLACK?BY "RUNNING HOT " I ASSUME YOU MEAN ONLY THE GLOWING EXHAUST ,NOT COOLANT TEMP .JM
