NASCAR Racing: NASCAR CoT, nascar cot, verbal comprehension

Are any current NASCAR racers front wheel drive?  I have consulted several sources on big web sites and either they use a special language to sound erudite, or I am losing verbal comprehension as I age.  What's the real deal?  Are all cars racing in sanctioned races rear or front wheel drive?

Stock cars are built to mimic street cars, with tons of racing modifications. Therefore, rear wheel drive is standard, so NASCAR cars are rear-wheel drive, not front or 4 wheel. Though the simple way to check on your own is to watch a pit stop, when they take off, the rear wheels are what you'll see spinning.
