NASCAR Racing: Information on HP0274, Bill Elliotts 1994 car, eurospeedway lausitz, rims tires

Question
Hello Katie,

Coy tried to help me on this but couldn't get any information. He told me to get in touch with you that you might be able to help... hope so.

Here it comes:

my name is Lenz, I'm a motorsports comentator for EUROSPORT and I bought a 1994 NASCAR, driven by Bill Elliott and afterwards used by Ernie Irvan (at least that's what I was told) Chassis# is HP0274. I hardly get any information on this car. Junior Johnson told me he has no records of that date anymore and I don't get any reply from Ernie, Hutcherson/Pagan and from NASCAR about records and such.

First of all I try to make a complete history of that car if that what I was told is true and if not what the real history of the car is.

Maybe you know people who can help me with this.

I also would need the exact tire dimension/size, where I can buy spare parts like rims, tires and such and what sort of gasoline, lubricants and maintanance this car needs.

The car is still in a harbour in the US, ready for shipping. I'm living in Germany and plan to do ride alongs for interested people here at the EUROSPEEDWAY Lausitz to promote this fantastic sport here in EUROPE.

The people I'm working with on this project are more involved in Formula 3 and such and don't have any experience with this sort of car, so we wanna make sure to know as much as possible about the car, engine, settings (my gosh how difficult will this be ;-) ) as possible...

Any help, hint and people's names and addresses to get information is much apreciated.

Many thanks for any help you can provide in advance.
Lenz

Answer
I really wish I knew more about this than I do, but unfortunately I don't know anyone that has any information on that car, or any of it's settings or tire dimensions. I looked around for whatever I could find in general on cars from that year but nothing of any worth turned up. Sorry :( But as for doing ride alongs with it, you would want to get more modern tires anyway, Goodyear has made so much progress making them safer, it would be wise to get a new tire on the car anyway. As for dimensions, not sure, but I'm sure a mechanic looking at it could figure it out. Wish I knew more for you. Good luck.
