Is the firm of Hutcherson-Pagan still in business and do they still build and sell race car chassis for NASCAR racing? Did Bill and Ernie Elliott build or buy their own cars in the early 1980's

I looked it up for you and yes the company is still in business with its site http://www.hutch-pagan.com/

To answer the second part, Bill and Ernie worked for a team, so they probably did not single-handedly build their own stuff, but they probably had quite a say in its design and integration considering how much of a success Bill was way back then.
