NASCAR Racing: commentators, darrel waltrip, darrell waltrip

Why can't we still have Darrel Waltrip and Jeff Hamond commenting on the race.  They provide so much information that makes the race more interesting.  An educated viewer is a more dedicated fan

Hi Darlene,

Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Hammond are contracted by FOX who signs with NASCAR for the first half of the season.  NBC (i think) and ESPN split the other half of the season. I do agree that those two provide a more interesting view of the sport.  They were a driver and Crew Chief pair for a while and they know what it is like to work in NASCAR.  ESPN and NBC hire commentators that really do not know what it means to be associated with NASCAR.
