Hey i just got this new game and i dont know anything about setups its for ps2 thanks

Hi Art,

NASCAR 08 for the ps2 is not as great as 07 was.  With the car of tomorrow everything changes.  I actually had to change my driving style and only make minor changes to the default setup.  As a general rule, at talladega and daytona you adjust for speed, not handling.  You do this by raising the psi to 30 and making minor changes to 3rd and 4th gear ratios.  At most other tracks, you crank the psi to 15 and have lots of acceleration from the start.  Now you are like 'if i have a low top speed, then won't they catch up to me?'  yes they will.  You will have a 2 or 3 second lead on the pack and then late in turn 3 or early in turn 1 of the next lap they will catch up to you.  The key here is not to panic.  Run a blocking scheme.  Chase and block up high and down low. If they are on the high AND low behind you, then you choose the middle of the two.  eventually one will really get a run on you and it becomes obvious who to block.
