NASCAR Racing: Car Of Tomorrow?, wind tunnels, racecar

Question
Why is the "car-of-tomorrow" being forced to be the "standardized" racecar for each driver??

Answer
Why? Because NASCAR says so and they make the rules. This is supposed to make the field more even and make the driver the "skill" factor, add safety and lower costs by making everybody the same as far as aerodynamics (less time in wind tunnels)
The jury is out on how this, the first season with all COT races will pan out. We shall see.
